ASI's JREs are advanced software middleware for reliable execution of Java applications on embedded systems used in many types of devices, from cell phones and PDAs to set-top boxes and sophisticated Telematics devices. ASI’s JREs are based on Java technologies licensed from IBM, such as the J9 Java Virtual Machine (J9VM), Just-in-Time (JIT) compiler, Java class libraries, and Java API packages, which are enhanced by ASI and APOGEE.CZ for effective use on customer's devices and for fast execution of Java applications on such devices.

In addition to providing JREs and JREs+A (JREs for devices running Android) customized for customers' needs, APOGEE.CZ provides comprehensive technical support and maintenance for each JRE or JRE+A, as well as other software services, such as: (i) porting the latest publicly available Android to many types of devices (including the advanced "connected" devices) based on ARM, x86, MIPS, or PowerPC processors running Linux, which is enhanced by Apogee.cz to support the port of Android; (ii) porting Oracle's OpenJDK to many types of devices based on ARM, x86, MIPS, or PowerPC processors running Linux, or devices based on ARM or x86 processors running Windows CE/Windows Mobile or VxWorks; (iii) porting Linux kernels and other system software (including graphics libraries) to ARM, x86, MIPS, or PowerPC processors; and (iv) developing or enhancing all kinds of Java or C/C++ applications.
